Sub-Type: Blunt
Rarity: Very Common
Risk of attracting other zombies in area: Very Low
Strengths: So desperation has sunk in. You’re out of ammo, resources are low, and you’ve holed up in an abandoned building that is falling apart and less than secure. The moan groans and shuffling of zombies are to be faintly heard all around. What to do? Well for starters, arm yourself with what’s available in a post apocalyptic environment… an old piece of lumber with rusty nails sticking out will do just fine.

Rarity: Extremely Common
Method of Infection: Ingestion / Fecal Exposure
Overview: Yet another form of a biologically based infectious zombie type, T.Gondii is not a hypothetical virus laden in mystery. Rather it is a current and well known parasite that already has achieved wide spread infection. T.Gondii is a protozoan parasite that spreads via undercooked meats, direct exposure to infectious cycsts, or contact with the fecal matter of those infected. Read the rest of this entry »

So upon review of this site I’ve been repeatedly asked “Do you really believe in zombies? It’s all CGI and movie magic. You know this right?”. Wrong. What if you were to find out that one-half of the world’s population was infected with a parasitic protozoa that altered the minds of it’s host? Would you still think it’s all Hollywood flash or an imaginary ploy devised by crazed conspiracy theorists bent on disturbing the peace?
Enter Toxoplasma Gondii. The result of learning the following information is usually met with awquard laughter, and sometimes eerie, shocked silence.
Sub-Type: Gun
Rarity: Moderate
Risk of attracting other zombies in area: High
Strengths: Ahhh the shotgun. It gets no more old school horror flick than a pump action shotgun while rampaging through a group of densely packed Zombies. But does it stand up to it’s hype? Well we think so. The shotgun is a mid to short range weapon with massive damage potential. It’s true strength shines when using pellet shot and aiming into groups of tightly packed targets. The other huge benefit to a shotgun is total stopping power. Deer slugs are sure to bring down even the most stout of targets regardless of zombie class. Undead will lose limbs thus limiting mobility, and both “living” class zombie will bleed out in no time.
The HTSTZH staff is constantly seeking new ways to provide you with current zombie news and holocaust tips… Unfortunately we’ve been playing Left 4 Dead pretty much non stop since release. Be sure to check out that link for a review of L4D. It’s phenominal…
But back to the topic at hand: In working towards providing you with more information and less reading, Roofie has implemented the Zombie Head Rating System. That being said, I hear a witch in the background, and I’ve got a Molotov with her name on it. Happy hunting.
