We all have so-called loved ones, but when the dead start to walk it’s important to look out for good old number one. It can be beneficial to band together in this, the ultimate time of distress, but other people can be a great hinderance to your well being as much as they can a benefit. Your individual survival is of the utmost importance (and if you don’t believe that, you don’t deserve to survive anyway).
I recommend that you make this point abundantly clear to your family members, friends and your significant other, if you have one, on a fairly regular basis. “Just so you know, if there is ever a zombie apocalypse…I’m gone!” If you ever find yourself in a zombie situation with someone whom you never got around to telling you weren’t going to stick your neck out for in this kind of predicament, it’s important not to waste your time informing them on the spot and arguing about it back and forth as the undead encroach. Just go man! Go!
